I downloaded (uploaded?) Assassin's Apprentice because I love the genre and it was free… I was not disappointed! Shaman's Crossing - Book 1 of Soldier Son Trilogy Reminiscent of Assassin's Apprentice, this is a beginnings book. Ditto Assassin's Apprentice, the first of the Farseer trilogy. The first book of Robin Hobb's Farseer Trilogy is an excellent example of the fantasy sub-genre usually called "epic fantasy". When I finished the Farseer trilogy, I felt completely numb and emotionally exhausted. How can we keep from going mad with impatience to find out The Farseer Trilogy by Robin Hobb. Having read the first in trilogy, "Assassins Apprentice" I approached this with some trepidation, middle books in trilogies usually being somewhat flat, merely building to the climax in the last novel. I recently purchased both Jean Johnson books and want to read them this year. Robin Hobb has an amazing storytelling ability that just draws you right in to her world from page one. "All too often I find I have wandered far from a history of the duchies into a history of FitzChivalry. Assassin's Apprentice is the first book in a three-part trilogy: The Farseer Trilogy, The Liveship Traders Trilogy, and The Tawny Man Trilogy. If you enjoy this type of story, I would So glad you really seemed to enjoy the book, if you still feel the same way after book three then i have a feeling you will also love the Liveship Traders trilogy by Robin Hobb. First book: Assassin's Apprentice. Assassin's Apprentice is the memoirs of one FitzChivalry Farseer. Robin Hobb, you had a good thing going with The Farseer Trilogy and The Tawny Man Trilogy, but you appeared to be in such a hurry to finish the latter that you tacked on a false happy ending and made me want to cry. The story begins as Fitz explains It may be a rather bold statement, but Assassin's Apprentice is easily the best book I have read in the past six months. In spite of my searing disappointment with the ending of Hobb's Tawny Man Trilogy, I decided to give her Soldier Son Trilogy a try. Last, but most definitely not least, is quite possibly my favorite book/series of all time. Martin's A Dance With Dragons was everything we'd hoped it would be — but now we can't wait to read the next book, The Winds of Winter. Assassin's Apprentice (The Farseer Trilogy, Book 1) Review.
